Toshiba Laptop and BS2sx

I have had success using my stamp programming board with my desktop
but when I try to use my laptop I cannot get a link between the
windows-based stamp editor (latest version) and the stamp. The strange
thing is that in DOS the laptop links up with no problem. That led me
to believe I had a problem with windows98 but then I discovered that
stampplot lite works fine in windows and it communicates flawlessly
with the stamp. I think the windows-based stamp editor may have some
issues on how it is accessing the com port...any suggestions????
Oh in case you were wondering when I try to poll the stamp I get
LOOP=YES, ECHO=NO but no stamp ID. I do know that the stamp is
recieving an ATN signal because what ever programs are currently
running in the stamp get paused/reset.
Laptop is a Toshiba Libretto CT50 Pentium @ 75MHZ (yeah I know its
slow but its tiny and I need the space on my bench)
Thanks for any help.....

requiring their 232 port 'FIFO' settings
to be lowered to 0 in order to work
with the IDE. Search the list for
'Toshiba' if you don't know how to
lower your settings.

I had the same problem with my Toshiba lap top and finally figured
that you have to turn off hardware control on com port. Works fine
now! Gool Luck! New to stamps my self just playing.
