I'm replying to the person who wanted to display time/date from stamp to a VCR.
Sorry don't have last message to reply to so making a new subject.
a good device for sending text over video is the "Bob 3" from Decade
Engineering. This is a low profile board in 30 pin SIMM package. What it does
is take serial data and displays text and simple graphics on NTSC or PAL
monitors. It is ideal for displaying caller-ID info on the TV screen. It should
be a snap to send the Date/Time info to your VCR. you can get the full
datasheets and programming info from
http://www.decadenet.com/
though I'll pass along this info
