The BS2 contains its own pseudo-OS in the form
of its run-time code. As mentioned earlier, you
can easily interface its RS-232 port with a
larger platform -- in Files, AlDemo\BS2_VBDemo.zip
I have a complete small demo which does this
for the PC using Visual Basic 6.

You can easily do the same for WinCE, I assume.

The BS2 is such a small beast, it's really good
for doing small microprocessor interface things.
A full disk-based operating system for it would
be way overkill.

Good point. Yes, if you want to run Windows CE,
ande you need an SBC, you might as well use the SBC
ports, the BS2 is entirely unsuitable
    for you.

The BS2 was designed for stand-alone, battery
powered applications, which have very simple
user interfaces (button and LED, if needed).
It can be built into a very small and power
efficient data-logger. It gets around the
cumbersome nature of the PC operating systems.
It can work as a 'slave' processor doing things
in real-time for a PC 'master'. It can give
a robot platform an autonomous controller.
And it costs $50.00, with a $100.00 development
board to program and test it with (and a PC
to run the IDE on) for a complete solution.

If you are building an embedded system based
on Windows CE, then you are a few steps up the
system evolution ladder from the BS2.
    And $150.00 is probably one-tenth what you're
    going to spend.
