Thanks everyone,
I had thought about doing an RC network, but thought I would
check to see what others were doing. I mainly just wanted to be able
to know where my battery was as far as the power was concerned.

probably the simplest. You could also run your battery voltage through
a divider and directly to a pin such that a low voltage would cause less
than 1.4v at the junction of the divider. This is the Stamp's 0-1
threshold and could be used as a warning that your battery is about to
give up on you. For an adjustable threshold, as simple comparitor could
be rigged. For more precision, there are a variety of ADCs that are
easy to implement. The fun part is the various options and finding what
works best for your application.
