solderless breadboard bus strips
I'm sure that it is more than ONE of us who has been bitten by the
power-bus strips on these boards.
When I (or my students) are using a board that is NOT continuous
along the entire bus length ,I install a 'PERMANENT' JUMPER across
the mid strip gap. This gap usually IS a bit wider than the other
gaps - but STILL.
Having the strips be ONE electrical bus along the ENTIRE board makes
more sense to my feeble brain and it's easier to JUMPER the offending
boards than to remember which ones AREN'T continuous.
(I'm sure that someone has good reason BUT - why the heck ARE some
buses chopped in half? Maybe a manufacturing expense item??)

I do on occasion have need for two different power busses (at
different voltages), and it was nice having the two separate on the
breadboard so I could accomplish this. Other than that, I can't think
of any other reason. Best regards,
-Dave
