hello bruce,
in 2001, i puchased the rentron 8 bit RF kit (434), since then you have
changed the design of the transmitter and reciever. are they backwards
compatible with my model? If i wanted to add more transmitters, would it
recognize on the receiver? thanks

The receivers are the same. The only change was going from a 6-pin version
TWS transmitter to a 4-pin version. The receiver you have will work fine with
the newer 4-pin TWS transmitters. They're the same frequency. Just smaller.
