Too many Daves???

Hmmmmm....
Speaking of Dave mix-ups, I once worked on a video crew where at least 6
guys were named Mike.... Talk about confusing.
Then I did sound for a band named "Anything Mike Wants" where all three
musicians were named Mike. And, of course that's my name as well. I'm
thinking unique IP addresses instead of names would be better for everyone.
Or is that too Orwellian? ;-)))))))))))))))))

Been there myself !
Company was Dave & Dave, Supplies.
I had to answer the phone
"Dave and Dave, how may I help you ?"
Caller "Is Dave there " (onwer)- 'no, he is out to lunch'
Then is Dave available ? (owner#2)= 'no, I'm sorry , he's in a
meeting'
Maybe Dave can help, is he availbabe? (Shop forman) 'no, at a clients'
Then, is Dave around ? (manager) - 'no, he is in the same meeting as
Dave'
Well, can somebody else help ? I said, "Sure, I'm Dave, how can I
help you?"
OK, bad joke.
Dave
Our Local Ham radio club has about 80 members, 10 are Daves.
One of the ID we put on the Repeater was "W1FN Talk Radio All Daves all the
time"
If you are in the area and hear some on the repeater say Hi Dave and you have
a good chance of being correct.
