Several BS2p connection together, combining open baud mode

Is it possible to connect several BS2p together, sharing P0 and P1,
combining open baudmode with pull-up resistor, and flow control at
the same time?
In the Basic Stamp Manual ver 1.9, page 318, is describing something
similar, but only one stamp to another. The 10K pull down resistor
on P0 is to ensure that the sender sees the stop signal when the
receiver is being programmed. Not quite what I'm looking for, or
what?
Stein.

I've written about this twice in my Nuts & Volts column:

The second (#104) uses a BS1, but may still be useful.
