bs2 interface with ipaq

i have a compaq ipaq 3835 with terminal software installed. I have
tried to connect with the bs2 through the serial connector on my ipaq
sync cradle and have not been successful.
any suggestions or ideas?

    Have you tried a null modem? Your ipaq sync cradle and stamp are both
    designed to connect a pc.
