Hi Francis,

I think I'm beating Sid to this one. : )

you can drive an 8 pin darlington ULN2803 with the the Stamp pins.

The darlington can handle up to 500mA per channel, but I think only
about 2.5 amps for the total units connected. Please check the data
sheets for verification.


I'm not sure of the battery and voltage. If you are running at 5
volts, it does not seem like you have a lot of use before you drop to
below the 5 volts.
