Basic Stamp Compiling with a mac

I was just wondering if anyone has used the compiler for Mac's made available
through the Parallax for the Basic Stamp, and how it compares to the windows
version. I want to buy my friend one of the Stamps prototyping kits, because I
really like mine, but I have a PC and he has a Mac. So I really can't check out
the compiler.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks,
jeff

Any third party solution is going to be slightly behind our Windows
product because we have to recompile and test the tokenizer module for
the other operating systems. When we're back from holidays, testing on
the PBASIC 2.5 tokenizer for Mac and Linux will continue -- it's close
and shouldn't take long. Then that can be folded into 3rd party apps so
that they can compile the same code as our Windows version.

    Happy New Year.

    hi there,

i am new to the group and searchng for similar info,

i have a mac and am using the bs2 compiler that is available through
    links off
    the paralax site.

interface is different (from pc, mostly cosmetic) but all seams
    functional.

help is accessed differently and a bit slower than windows based
    interface.

i am having problems with debug comands and formatting (ie DECX where
    x
    is 1-5 etc)

anythots from anyone on this would be lovely.

    best
