I am just new to this and am trying to program a boe bot using a
toshiba laptop with xp loaded on it. I have been succesful with a 98
machine but would really like to figure out what I am doing wrong
with xp. I am using editor 1.33. When I do the identify thing I get
loop back but no echo or stamps detected and no version. If I unplug
the serial cable, then I loose the loop back as well so I figure that
I'm ok except for a xp thing.

Try disabling the FIFO buffers. Toshiba laptops are famous for that.

You can find the installer (for Version 2.1, Beta 1) on our web site at
