I don't think they produce colored LCD at low price. (Demand is
still small, but in time…..)
Still, a big, sheep and easy to use parallel LCD like the Seiko
(4*40 L4044) 4 line/40 Char LCD with backlight could be found on:
Cost something like ....40 US$ or less. And THAT is cheep.
