New BS1 Windows Editor and Parallel Port

I had just bought the parallel cable to get my old BS1 working again
when I realized it didn't work with winXP. Then I found out that a
windows editor was coming out for the BS1. Now that it's here, can
I still use my new parallel cable, or do I have to go for the new
serial adapter?

You'll need a serial adaptor -- Windows is just to finicky with the
parallel port to support BS1 needs. You can buy a serial adapter ($5)
from us or build one yourself (an adapter for your current cable) with
common parts. The schematic is on our web site and in the Version 2.1,
Beta 1 help file.
