My question of today is this, i was thinking , theres a lot of wi
fi'ing going around with the wireless 802.x11 protol to send receave
information.... what i was thinking of doing is what if u had a wi fi
tranceaver hooked up to a baisc stamp to send and receave information
that is happening in the stamp, such as be able to control it, re
program it perhaps, and debug it remotely.... is this possible to do
with a stamp , some how jerry rig up a setup to the stamp so it can
see tcp/ip information then some how hook that to a wi fi
tranceaver ... if anyone has some input on this subject let me know,
and if theres any other PIC controlers out there that might have
tcp/ip built into it some how???

Im not sure about Wi Fi but what about LIPD Tx and Rx modules. You
can rig these up easily to transmitt data over long ranges ( upto a
few km's line of sight) If you have access to a magazine that is
sold in Australia called silicon chip you can chk out the Nov 2003
issue they have a article titled ' Smart radio modem for
microcontrollers' this may be something of use.

    www.siliconchip.com.au (website of the mag)

Hope I was helpful in some way.
