SV: [basicstamps] attaching a relay on an output pin

Greetings!

Reed relays never pull any significant power, and are most often used to
detect power or a nearby magnet. Unlike a normal relay they don't have a
coil, and it's that piece which causes the problems. (Coils tends to 'do
things' to voltage transitions)

So, unless you trigged the Reed relays with a coild that was driven from
the Stamp, there's no problem. (Or so I hope)

:-)

I don't know if this is relevant, but I've hooked up reed relays (with
<25ma draw) to stamp pins directly, no problems whatsoever. I designed
some electronics for a system that did hydrogen-oxygen hydrolysis and a
timed explosion of gas.
