Has anyone ever tried using the Jameco Ultra Sonic Distance Sensor?

If so, can someone tell me how it should be hooked up and programmed.

Thank you for reading, please reply soon.

To use the sensor, you need to generate a 40 khz burst of pulses. To do this
you will need to build a driver as the stamp cannot drive it directly. Then
you will need to amplify the signal from the reciever and from the amplifed
signal make sure it is Stamp (ttl) level compatible. By the time you are done
with all this work the time and effort does not seem worth it when you can buy a

unit for $36 from Parallax that does all of the mentioned above.
