1. I saw some postings for a "Emic" text to speech converter. Does
anyone have any info. about this? Is this an IC chip? Is there a
website that I can visit to learn more?

2. Does Parallax (or anyone else) sell 3.12 MHz resonator that I
need for the Allophone chip?
