Frist try control I and locat the com port.
if you have a two yeses on com 1 or two then thats ok
now check the syntex.
Also make sure the stamp is powered up and debug first to clear the memery.
If not the old progrem will try to run with the new wiring and crash.
I pulled my hair out for an hour before I leared that one trying to find out why
it wouldnt up
load.
also at the first line should be '{$stamp bs2}
this will set the editer for the stamp.
The other thing that would make life easer it to down load the latest and
greatest editer.

I was wondering if anyone could help with a problem i have.
I am running windows 2000 and using a basic stamp2 chip to control
some stepper motors.
the problem i am having is that when i try and identify the chip
using the stamp editor software it does not detect/identify the chip.
i have made sure all of the comm port settings are correct does
anyone have any ideas on what i can try to solve the problem?
Thanks
Matt.
