windows 2000 won''t identify my Basic Stamp2 chip

Couldn't find the chckbox you indicated in V.1.33 or V2.0.
i am calling the correct com port as if i connect just a stamp on a board to it
it
identifies it but not my stepper motor controller... but only on that PC.
