windows 2000 won''t identify my Basic Stamp2 chip

Maybe I missed it but how are all your devices powered?
It almost looks like your Stamp does not have +5V.
I blew the +5V regulator on my Basic Stamp2 and was getting same
error.
Suggestions:
1. Check the +5V pin 22.
2. If have means to check your data signals check if Basic Stamp
physically sends data on pin 1 (Sout)when powered up or reset. The
editor obviously do not see that data and that's why you get
the "cannot identify" error.
