I need to connect my Laptop (without Serial Port) with My programmer Bs2p40 Boa

Dear friends

I have one problem with my laptop, i need to connect the programer board to
it but, my laptop don't have serial port, they have only parallel and usb...
.. If posible to you to explain Other form to connect this board to my
laptop.....

I appreciate your help and prompt response

    You need a USB to serial adapter.
    These plug in to your laptop USB port, and have
    drivers with them that make them look like
    a local serial port to your PC.
    Some models don't support ALL the signals
    you need though, so you need to be careful
    which one you buy.

    The KeySpan 19W works well.
    Parallax sells the BAFO unit, which works well.
    I've had problems with older Belkin units --
    some people have told me these work now.

    DON'T try to use a USB to PDA serial adapter --
    these typically don't supply all the handshake
    signals.

    If i buy BAFO unit, it come with its drivers to convert USB to SERIAL PORT..
    and the Parallax program recognized this port...
