bs2 with 25-pin cable

i have the cable for a bs1 but i am useing it on a bs2. i cannot get
it to interface right. loopback: no echo: no are my
settings wrong??

    BS2 uses a different cable connected to a different port on the
    computer.

    Have you consulted the Stamp manual? It has examples of both cables.

    this 3 pin connector has all three the bs2 needs to communicate i
    think the settings are wrong possibly

    You need a standard serial cable for programming the BS2. This is
    covered in the manual.
