This basicstamps group has been so helpful in getting my questions answered,
I was wondering if any of you are aware of a similar group for programming
enthusiasts, particularly Visual Basic

Google it. You'll find lots of VB resources on the Internet.

By FAR the best visual basic site is the Extreme visual basic group. You
need to sign up, but the help there is fantastic.

Not sure of the address, but a search for extreme vb should find it easily.

    Cheers, Chris

Off hand I can't think of any, but if you go to www.google.com and search
for Visual Basic you'll find a wealth of resources. There is several sites
out there that have tons of good resources for Visual Basic. Plus there is
several people that are on this list that know Visual Basic fairly well, I
like to think I'm one of them ;-) If you have a particular question your
welcome to contact me offlist about it.
