Fwd: [basicstamps] Newbie in temp control

i did a similar project like this a while ago. i used a 12 Vdc PC fan like
you said. i used a 2N2222A NPN trasistor found at radio shack and a relay.
a separate 12vdc regulator or power supply is needed to supply voltage to
the fan. connecting +12vdc to one end of the coil of the relay and the
other end to the collector side of the NPN transistor. also connect the
emitter to ground of the 12vdc and VSS of the stamp. use a 1k ohm resistor
connected to the base of the transistor and th I/O pin of the stamp you
want to use. all you have to use for the code is to make that I/O pin high.
i used this in my program using a BS2
High 0 ' where I/O 0 is the I/O used
reverse 0 ' use this code to turn of the fan
hope this helps, it worked for me.
