Basic Stamp 1 and Linux
Archiver

Hey all,
I have just purchased a BasicStamp 1, which (as you probably know)
uses the parallel port. The problem is I haven't had a Windows
machine in years, and as far as I have seen, the Linux utilities only
support the 2 series (with the serial port). My question is: do the
Linux utilities shown on Parallax's site support the BasicStamp 1 as
well as the 2 series? This will be a great help in determining
whether I need to dust off the (VERY) old laptop opr not.
Cheers,
Ian

Ian -
You will need DOS, not Windows to run the Basic Stamp I Editor/Compiler.
I understand there is a Windows Version coming in the future, but it's not
here yet. The dusty laptop sounds like a winner for now.
