    Hi Jonathan!

A weather station! It is cool.. I want to make the same as a future project but
    is it a
weather station ready to use that you got from specialised store or you have
    built the
whole thing i.e. wind speed and direction, humidity sensor and so. I would
    install
one at the small airport where my ultralight is and get distance weather
    condition.

    Hi Rene,

This depends on what kind of data you want to save. I
know this has been discussed before and as I recall,
you could use something like hyperterminal to capture
the data and then save that to a text file. You could
also use StamDAQ to capture the data. StampDAQ is an
Excel application so it will store the data in Excel.
But I think maybe somebody else has a better way of
    handling this.

Something off topic, though. You should check your
compuetrs clockor else your isp's clock is off. The
date on your postings are about a month off. The date
on this posting said October 3, not November 4.

Hopefully this information will help a little bit.

    Have a great day!!

There are several options that have been discussed recently. One option:
download the free control at http://www.al-williams.com/npdaqax.htm -- made
to work with Netporter DAQ, but will work with anything if you format the
data properly (read the Web page for instructions). You could use this from
Excel or VB or just about anything.

    Good luck!

Sure. Send the byte to an app that is listening to the Stamp via a comm
port and have that app write the file for you. This is easily done in
Visual BASIC and other desktop languages. If you have/use VB, this will
    help:

Just a cautionary note: If you choose to use the Stamp's programming
port as a comm link be aware that it echoes any byte sent to it; this
must be filtered by your PC.

    Rene,

I am working on a similar project. I want to take data from my weather
station and upload it to a web page. A friend is helping me to build a Java
app to do this. I'll post when it is done.

    Renee,

I am building it. So far, I have windspeed, direction, barometric pressure,
humidity, indoor and outdoor temp. Lightning detector, rain guage in the
works. It also has atomic time. Fun stuff!

    Rene,

No pictures yet. It's still all on breadboards. I am a couple of weeks from
making a PCB for it, then I'll document. It uses an old Heathkit windspeed
and direction sensor, an MPX4115A pressure sensor, a LM34 for indoor temp, a
SHT11 for outdoor temp and humidity.
