Targus Port Replicator

I recently purchased a targus port replicator (PA070) to program my basic stamp
since my laptop (Toshiba Satellite A10-5WM 2.0GHz/512MB/40GB running windows XP
home).
Too my dispair, it doesn't work :(
Does anyone know if it's possible to get it to work?
If not can anyone reccomend a model that does?
Thanks
-Paul

'other' converters, right? Particularly
USB to Serial. I'm fond of the KeySpan parts.
They have a 'legacy port' unit, which gives
you two serial, a parallel, and 2 additional
USB ports.
Parallax says the BAFO unit they sell works
well also. Stay away from Belkin, as they
don't support the 'handshake' signals the
BS2 needs.

one that I would assume works with the Stamp.

Here I've been ragging on Belkin models since
January, and your's is the first message defending
them. I'll tone down my rhetoric in the future!

I'm guessing the Targus Replicator doesn't properly replicate a serial port.
Oh well, I'll take it back, Thanks for the suggestions
