need help to close a small relay a Clarification of sorts

First of all thanks to all that have sent me great advise and counsel This
is a clarification of what I thought I should ask about.

I would like to build a basic stamp type board that could act, as the switch
below except the only function I want to perform is the second position. The
second function is to be able to program an interval between taking each
picture from 5 to 15 in 5 second increments if not I would like the ability
to reprogram the board if needed to give me the delay in between each
exposure. I also need to use the RS232 port as the parallel port runs
another device while the camera is in use. When I first posted I was so
excited about finding this list I should have explained that what I wanted
to do was just short 2 leads at a timed interval.

Here is what I have to do to fire the camera with the adaptor we have.

RM-CB1 cable pin out Looking at the connector with the notch at the top:

1 2

3

1 - Brown

2 - Black

3 - Red

There are two positions for the switch. The first position engages the auto
focus and the second position releases the shutter. The first position
shorts the Brown and Black wire the second position shorts all three.

Again thanks to all your input helped me clarify my needs.
