Above is the link for a special on the Stamp driven
Tab robots Sumobot, mentioned a few times in
earlier posts. While not a 'true' sumobot (it
REALLY doesn't comply with Sumo rules) it's
still a nice package -- especially for the
new $69.00 price.
This has an OEM Stamp soldered on, so you
can't upgrade it, but it also has
two motors with drive circuits, a PIC
co-processor to handle the real-time stuff,
and a prototyping breadboard area for your
own learning circuits.
Parallax, please forgive me for mentioning
another company's package -- I just figured
this would be a good introduction to your
products for cash-strapped people. This and
an 'Analog and Digital' class from Parallax
was my introduction to the Stamp.

No frets here! The TAB Kit uses an OEM BASIC Stamp as you mention.
