Hello all. This is completely off topic, but I'm still learning all the basics
and fundamentals of electronics and math. Can anyone help me with determining
the speed of my robot (i.e. formulas, charts, ect.)? I need to find fast dc gear
motors (300+RPM) that can push my robot (6 Pounds). I have 6" foam rubber
wheels. I know that if I plug in these values, (RPM, torque rating of the motor,
wheel diameter, and traction(I'm just assuming that there will be no slipage due
to the weight)) then I'll get my answer (ultimately inches or cms/sec). I need
my robot to go at LEAST 12-15 Inches per second, but would be pleased with much
faster than that. So any of your knowlege will be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks, John
