Hey everyone,
I'd like to say thanks to everyone on this board for all the great
help that everyone has given me in the past summer making an ROV, and
even before that when I was getting started in electronics. I posted
a bunch of pictures and a circuit diagram on a web page so people
interested in an ROV project can see how I made mine. the URL is:

Thanks again for all the help.

Your project looks great !! I put one together once with the bs2 but ran
into a ground loop problem or something. I could get any one motor to work
really well but the other two would only energize when I sent them commands.
Still have the parts hope to get to it again someday. One trick for sealing
motors is to drill a hole in the casing, fill the motor with medical grade
mineral oil, put a rubber diaphram over the hole. You would also have to
install a pressure proof (for your depth) seal at the shaft. Woods Hole
told me about this years ago. Their laughing rationale for this is that if
there is ever a motor leak they can pull out the bottle of mineral oil,
drink a teaspoon in front of the coast guard, and not be ticketed for
pollution. You can also get a lot more depth out of the motor if you want
it. I'd love to talk to you more about your project, drop me an email if you
can.
