Quadrature pulse output to emulate quadature encoder

Hello:
Has anyone here used a Basic Stamp to generate quadrature encoder pulses, 2
channels are all that I need, 90 degree phase shift as in a normal quadrature
encoder. I am looking to replace a control tester which is constructed of
discreet components with one based on the Stamp. I would like to use one Stamp
to
control the inputs and outputs and also to generate the quadrature pulses.
If anyone has already used a Stamp for a similar application it would be good
not to have to re-invent the wheel, so to speak.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
