RESET pin on Basic Stamp - leave it open or connect to+5V

If I don't plan to use the reset button, is it better to leave it
unconnected or connect to +5V in the basic stamp?
Thanks
Mohammed

Leave it open -- it is pulled-up to 5V on the Stamp module. If you want
to externally reset the Stamp, you may do so by momentarily taking this
pin low. You can do this with a N.O. switch to ground, or in special
cases you might use some kind of external watchdog circuit.

As the reset pin is an input, it is never a good idea to leave open. Tie
reset to +5v via 10K ohms

As discussed earilier, that pin is pulled-up onboard the BS2 module, so
there is no need to connec to anything; it is safe to leave alone.

And if you build your stamp from a discrete component kit, it is advisable to
use a pull up (or pull down) resistor on any unused input.

Are you building a stamp on your own circuit board from discrete components?
If the answer is yes, it is advisable to use a pull up resistor.

Thanks. I am using the BS2p24 module into a PCB. In this case, you
say, it is alright to leave the RESET pin open, right?

Yes, because it is dealt with on the module. If you need an external
reset, then you simply pull that pin down for a moment and release it.
