Is th e DB9 Cable for the Basic Stamp Straight Trough? If it is
straight trough , how can I know if it is straight trough, thank you.

Ways to tell:
1. Take an Ohmmeter (digital voltmeter set to ohms)
and touch a probe to pin 2 on each end -- should
be 0 ohms. Touch pin 3 -- 0 ohms, pin 5 (ground)
0 ohms, and pin 4 (DTR, used for ATN/RESET) 0 ohms.
2. Put a radio shack 8-led RS-232 gizmo on it.
If both TX and RX led's light, you're good.
