Hi

For John Bakers question on the speed problem of Gosub, we found the same
problem when developing code for the CMUcam with the BoeBot. Our solution
was not to use Gosub's at all. I'm guessing Gosub's are just very slow.
Check out the Seattle Robotics web site www.seattlerobotics.com You can
download the CMUcam BoeBot user manual from the home page. You can look at
the code for the CMUcam with the BoeBot for serin/serout and fast servo
control examples.

For the Home Work board CMUcam problem - the CMUcam draws at least 200 ma -
if you are using a BoeBot version of the CMUcam it has no five volt
regulator built in and you must provide that yourself. The full CMUcam has
the regulator and requires a 5.5 to 9 volt supply. I'm not sure how you are
powering the CMUcam when you use it with the Home Work board but if you are
using a separate power supply make sure it shares the ground connection with
the CMUcam power supply.

Thank you
