I am planning to buy CMOS output GPS unit. it has input voltage
3.3Vdc +/-50 mV ripple allowed and draw 120mA during operation. how
could i do this power set up with a BS2 developing Board?
Battery(5~15V) rated will be used as a power source for my
application, and low power dissipation over new 3.3V regulator, and
hoping it to provide 250mA~400mA.

R2 = 420 ohms in your case. The output will be 3.3 volts.
