Hey,
Next week (August 7-8) Parallax is hosting a two-day BASIC Stamp course
at our Rocklin, California office. This class is ideally geared towards
the educator who wants to implement BASIC Stamp robotics in their
classrooms, but registration is open for anybody.
Plain and simple, we're going to have a great time learning Stamp
programming concepts with the best hardware we have to offer: Stamps,
robots, sensors (temperature, pressure, color, acceleration), etc. In
addition, the two days will include the following presentations at
lunch:
- Tracy Allen of www.emesystems.com to talk about environmental
measurements with OWL dataloggers
- Ken Rinaldo of Ohio State University
www.accad.ohio-state.edu/~rinaldo/ to present his New Media Robotics
program of interactive art
And, on the morning of day two (Friday) the Parallax crew will take you
to a nearby park for breakfast to see the following R/C airplane BASIC
Stamp projects (the traditional BBQ won't happen since the R/C airfield
is being used for "trainer night"):
- accelerometer autopilot demo
- GPS datalogger
- twin-engine synchronizer
The entire two-day curriculum is available for download here:
http://www.parallax.com/dl/docs/courses/bsec%20aug03.pdf
Register here:

Hotel information is on the same page.
The course is taught by four of our staff Stampers. Consider attending
this course - we're certain you'll find it worthwhile based on feedback.
See you at Parallax!
Sincerely,
Ken Gracey
