JST Connector

Hi Folks,
anyone have any good tips about connecting wires to a JST connector? I have
a Sharp GP2D02 IR sensor, and the stupid thing has a REALLY tiny connector
plug; they were kind enough to send the appropriate female connector, but
they didn't crimp any leads onto it, or give any how-to instructions. It
looks like you need to be a microsurgeon to do it; I'd rather not buy a
crimp tool since I only have the one connector, but the only way I can see
doing this is by using an Xacto knife to force wires into the slots, but
that seems like a tedious process at best and certainly a destructive
bloodletting at worst.
thanks,

pair of cutters and then solder them. I do this on the Molex KK
connectors as the crimp tool is way too expensive.
For future reference, if you spend the extra couple of dollars to get
the unit from Acroname, the contacts come pre-crimped to the wires. All
you do is push them into the plastic housing.
