I have the basic stamp attached to a Linux laptop.
I can tokenize my code, but i can not get it to run. The error i get
is
Error: Could not open /dev/bstamp for reading/writing!
What did i do wrong?

the parallax.com site at
http://www.parallax.com/sw/bs/unix/stampbc_124.tgz That program doesn't
use /dev/bstamp, but any available serial port. You'll probably have to
make some changes to the default port settings, but the tar file
includes a nice serial port utility and instructions for how to set
things up.

If that doesn't work, go to the referring page which is:
http://www.parallax.com/html_pages/downloads/software/software_basic_stamp.asp
Scroll down to the Linux section, it will be the bottom of the two
choices that reads " New! BASIC Stamp Linux Solution by Randy Hootman
Not supported by Parallax"
