I need to print..it has only been disastrous so far

I actually used an Okidata 320 for a project very much like this. It has
a serial port on it as well as a parallel. Made it pretty simple. The one
i used didn't seem to min the non standard RS-232 (ala 5 volt and no +/-
12v swing) and printed fine.

Go to ebay and type "serial printer". Lots of them there for less than
$100. Also, a dot-matrix printer with fanfold paper lends itself well to
data collection as there is much less chance of a paper jam and your
reports are all folded and ready for pickup... [noparse]:)[/noparse]
