Tacho Interface

Al et al,

I've got the PAK-VIIa hooked up to a BS2. Works perfectly. I'm looking to use it
by piggy backing off the back of my car's tacho... only when I connect up it all
up, the rev counter immediately drops to 0! I'm assuming there's an input
impedance issue here...???

Any advice on how I could link the lot up? I thought about a 1:1 feedback op-amp
to give near infinity/near zero input and output impedances (excuse me if I've
got them the wrong way around!) whilst still retaining the same voltage levels.

I've not actually linked it up to the car yet, I'm using a 4047 to generate a
200Hz frequency to simulate approx. 6000 revs but I'm assuming the issue is
between the input impedanec of the BS2 and the ipnut of the tacho and not the
signal source... but please correct me if I'm wrong.

Any advice gladly recieved,

Thanks all

Kev/.
