PS2 works only when serial connected!

I have a PS2 that accepts and runs programs ONLY when it is still
connected via the serial port. If I have it working OK and disconnect
the serial plug it quits. Any ideas please...

    Hi Rondoc,

Crappy ground is my first guess. Is the supply voltage verified to the
Stamp, VDD reading 5V and such? Check the voltage while plugged into the
serial port and when it's not. Try loading a blink.bas type thing and
checking ouputs. Will it do anything at all, or does it just sit there and
ignore you ? What are you powering it with?

OOOPS! Sorry guys.. the problem is nothing to do with the STAMP. The
STAMP is sent inputs from a LINX receiver and it seems that the extra
bit of leadwire coming out of the serial connector makes the RF part
work better. The ground loop and voltage check were good ideas
although my system is battery powered so there are no ground loops.
