Hi,

I just started playing with Basic Stamp. I looking for
a starter kit to buy. I have some programming
background.

Should I start with BS2SX Starter Kit or do I really
have to start with BS2 Starter kit. What are the main
different between the 2 in term of programming?

Thanks
Alex

If I am not mistaken, the SX may have a handfull more commands, but the
primary difference is Speed....SX is faster...

I would start with the BS2...

The sx is faster, plus has more memory, so you
get to do BS2 'bank switching'. However, the
sx also takes more power, so you won't get as
much time from a 9-volt battery.

I tend to recommend the Board Of Education to
newbies, as it takes care of everything you
need to get started. For $119, it comes with
    a BS2.

In programming, if you're only using one 'bank',
I believe the two are identical.
