Will Relays interfere w/ BS operation?

I'm planning on driving several relays (through the proper ICs) using the BS2sx
chip.
Should the relays be mounted in a different box, or can they go in the same
metal
enclosure as the BS?
Thanks!!

voltages switch by the relays.

They can be mounted in the same enclosure. Make sure to use a reverse
polarity diode across the coil to protect the driver IC. I use them even if the
IC
has its own protection. For an extra 5 cents per relay it is good insurance.
You do have to think about what you are switching worth the relay contacts.
Arcing at the contact points can lead to problems. Are you switching AC or DC
loads, lots of amps or just a few MA?
If you are switching solenoids, small induction motors, or other moderate AC
(<3 amps), use Solid State Relays. They are optically isolated and do not have
the arcing problem with the contact points.
In general keep the heavy amperage circuits separate from the Stamp power.
Hope this helps,
