Actually it doesn't matter which mobile it is because I am going to buy one
anyways. So if you know how it works with a certain phone, that I can get
here in Germany (don't think there is a big difference to what you have)
just let me know. Best would be a phone that is not too new so that I can
get it low price at ebay or something.

Sounds very good but still a bit complicated. What exactly is this
adapter-pod?

SMS is Short Message Service. I didn't know you don't have the same in the
US.
