AppMod Bus Docs?
Archiver

Hello all.
I've been recommending the Parallax
AppMod Modem for phone control use.
I've been looking for good docs on
the AppMod bus, and just found them in
"Board_Of_Education_Manual.PDF".
I can't find this on the Parallax
web-site -- has it been taken off?
The first three words in the PDF are
"Board of Education".
Please help.

Hi Alan,
Here is the link to the document you seek:
http://www.parallax.com/downloads/documentation/board_of_education_manual.pdf
There is not really much to tell about the Appmod bus. The Stamp
pins and power supplies are brought directly to a 20 pin (2 x 10)
header, 0.1" spacing for standard square 0.025" pins. The appmods
themselves have long pins sticking out the bottom that plug into the
header on the board of education, and there is an extension header on
the top of the appmod, so that you can stack them up. The
connections are direct, through the to stamp pins and power supplies.
And of course Parallax prints the legend on the top of the board, so
you can tell at a careful glance which pin is which.
Here is the diagram in text format:
Vss 1 2 Vss
P0 3 4 P1
P2 5 6 P3
P4 7 8 P4
P6 9 10 P5
P8 11 12 P9
P10 13 14 P11
P12 15 16 P13
P14 17 18 P15

(I think the parallax site needs to have
its links checked on the Documentation
downloads page)
