limiting current on LED''s (slightly off topic)

Thanks to everyone for the info. on this. It's appreciated. This is usually
something I run into when wiring LED bars (love those things or 7-seg.'s so
using LEDs from different batches together isn't really a problem.
Speaking of LED bars, got a cool little "eye candy" schematic drawn up that'll
"strobe" a red one in time with the output of a speech synthesizer (the circuit
is slaved to the busy line of a SP0256). If it works like I think it will, the
(center->outward) pattern should be identical to that of KIT's voice display
from "Knight Rider." Hey - what fun is robotics if one can't actually build his
'80's childhood dreams? [noparse];)[/noparse]
