CMUCam colors

Hey guys,
I was wondering if you would know how to fix the fact that the
cmucam is having trouble seeing certain colors. For some reason, the
cam dumps images which show the correct outlines of objects, but they
are filled with grey, instead of the appropriate color. This happends
with green, yellow, and other colors. I have tried using this code
sent to me by the cmucam people:
cr 18 44 19 33
then wait 15 seconds, then send
cr 18 40 19 32
although this helps adjust the color a little, it does not solve the
problem stated above. I have tried to have the camera adjust properly
during the "wait 15 seconds" part of the code above. During this time
I have let the camera see a room in natural light, and in artificial
light. I have also tried putting white and dark panels in front of
the camera during the "wait 15 seconds part". None of these attampts
makes the camera be able to see green or yellow colors correctly..
I don't think there is anything wrong with the camera, because I can
occassionally see green and yellow edges to green and yellow objects,
but these colors never fill the entire object.
Is there a way to tell the camera what color it should be seeing (so
I could put a green panel in front of it and tell it that it is
seeing green)?. Or any other suggestions? Thank you very much for any
