Guys,
Im a green horn at electronics. My friend who is a programmer
suggested he and I get involved in tinkering with Stamps. He will
program and he asked me to find a kit that has the following
componants pre assembled:
A-LCD
B-Keypad
C-I/O pins for relays, on/off switch etc...
D-lithium battery powerfail backup
E-Stamp (BS2)
F-power supply suggestions (5v?)
It seems these componants offer many programming possibilities. I
know I have a long way to go but I thought asking a Stamp group would
be a great starting place.
Thank you in advance for your consideration.

I can give you a couple of suggestions for your LCD queries. Parallax
offers serial interface displays from Matrix Orbital which can be
controlled via the BS2. The displays which they offer communicate in
TTL protocol. Some units have the ability to be connected to a keypad
and the use of General Prurpose Outputs. For more information check
out the following links: www.matrixorbital.com
